June 99, Marian Pilgrimage

This section is intended to give an opportunity to pilgrims to share their reflection or experience of the Marian Pilgrimage of June99.

Thank you for much for your concentration and dedication to making our excursion a true "pilgrimage to", rather than a "tour of", the Holy Land and Turkey. Your focus or this differentiation truly set this trip apart from others, and made it a wonderful, memorable and spiritual experience.

Here are my comments/suggestions regarding the Pilgrimage we recently took: THE HOLY LAND: Spiritually, this was an uplifting and wonderful experience. Only suggestion: say the Rosary everyday as a group and have one member of the group say one decade of the Rosary. Hilda would have liked to have had 5 minutes at each holy site to pray quietly. Hotel Accommodations: all were good, except the Christmas Hotel, rooms dimly lighted and shower required you to be an Olympic high hurdler to get in and out of.

ISTANBUL: This for me was less of a spiritual experience. Hotel Accommodations: all were good.

AIR TRAVEL: Swiss Air service and food were good. The layover in Zurich on our way home was too long and should not be accepted on future trips.
