Blessed Junipero Serra and all the saints * an increase in laborers for Your
Church * fellow laborers with Christ to spend and consume themselves for souls *

– Month of the Rosary
October is the month dedicated to the Blessed Mother and the Rosary.
The Rosary is the beautiful prayer to Mary, the Mother of Jesus. In
saying the full 20 decades, we are reliving the life of Jesus and realizing how
much Mary was part of the joy and suffering He endured.
The Rosary brings us closer to God and gives us strength to persevere in
doing the right thing. Pray a daily family
Rosary asking God’s help through the intercession of Mary, the patroness of
our country. Praying together would
do much to unite families and help them to become more loving, caring and
helpful to others. Pope John Paul II
had said, “The Rosary is a way of contemplating the face of Christ through
Mary’s eyes. I want to suggest
therefore, that people, families and Christian communities pray the Rosary.” REMEMBER – The
Rosary is recited Monday through Saturday after the 8:00 A.M. Mass. Please
feel free to join us! PILGRIM VIRGIN STATUE VISITATION – Would you like to have the Pilgrim Virgin statue visit your house?
One of the Legion of Mary’s works is to propagate the praying of the
Rosary by bringing the Virgin statue to families who request it.
For more info and/or to request the statue, please call Vivian Trinidad @
923-9089 (H) or 742-4148 (W). $CRIP gift
certificates will be available after Masses this weekend (except Sunday
7:00 and 8:00 A.M.). Don’t go
shopping or dining without it! Time
to start placing your holiday shopping/dining orders.

The
IRS allows you to use a charitable trust to increase your income and reduce your
taxes. The trust is especially useful for highly appreciated assets (real estate
or securities). The trust can also
be used to help loved ones with income after you have gone, but keep the
principal from being spent unwisely. If
you want to know more about this, the Diocese can provide free assistance.
Call the Development Office @ 983-0245, or write to them at: All Souls Day
All Souls Day is Friday, November 2nd.
The All Souls intentions will also be remembered throughout the month of

28th (weekend envelopes may be dropped in the collection basket).
