Stained Glass

13th Sunday in Ordinary Time - June 27-28, 2009

Father Michael called this week and sends his regards to everyone.  He has just about finished all of his training and expects to be on his way to Afghanistan very soon.  Please keep him and all of our military personnel in your prayers.

Today’s second collection is for our St. Vincent de Paul Society.  Please help our volunteers help the needy of our own neighborhood.  Thank you!

REMINDER:  All Parish Offices will be closed on Friday, July 3rd.  Masses will be celebrated at 8:00 A.M. and 7:30 P.M. (First Friday Mass).

First Friday Adoration and Mass

Please join us at the Vigil before the Blessed Sacrament on Friday, July 3rd.  Our 24-hour Adoration begins in the Chapel after Friday’s 8:00 A.M. Mass.  Our First Friday Mass will be celebrated at 7:30 P.M. in the Church.

CM is looking for those who are interested in sharing their faith, time and talents with our Junior High and High School students.  This is a weekly commitment for Junior High, and twice a month for High School Confirmation students.  Please prayerfully consider this most important ministry (Training is provided.)  For more information, please leave a message for Sharron Hollenbeck or Angela Giampaoli in the Catechetical Ministry Office @ 251-0165.

If you are an altar server and scheduled to serve at Mass, you are expected at the altar to assist at that Mass.  Whether it is a weekday or Sunday Mass, we need you.  When you get your schedules from Mrs. Denzel, put the dates and times on your calendars.  If you are unable to serve, please switch with another server or try to find a substitute.  [The weekly reminder call from the Rectory Office is made only as a courtesy to you.]  Parents are asked to aid their children in fulfilling this service.  We sincerely THANK those who serve faithfully and help fill-in when needed.

Your Friend, the Codicil...

You can easily change your will to benefit St. Victor’s Parish. All you need to do is have a codicil that adds to or modifies something in your will.  Codicils are effective, inexpensive and easy.

If you want to know more about this, the Diocese can provide free assistance.  Call Robert Serventi @ 983-0168, or write to him at: Diocese of San Jose, The Chancery, 1150 N. First St., Suite 100, San Jose, CA 95112-4966.
